*World Premiere

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia presents the world premiere of Dirk Brossé’s Pictures at an Exhibition in a multidisciplinary collaboration with the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Brossé’s evocative new work is inspired by seven beloved American paintings from the Museum collection, including Thomas Eakins’ “The Gross Clinic,” and the breathtaking “Grand Canyon of the Colorado River” by Thomas Moran. With images of each painting projected above the orchestra, this finale is sure to be the musical highlight of the season. Included in this spectacular season finale is the world premiere of Dai Wei’s Two of Us, which tells the story of two sisters separated in childhood and the battle to reunite. A fitting end to an amazing season.
