The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia is proud to partner with The Primavera Fund, which believes that music education provides valuable skills unmatched by any other endeavor, and that musical talent and the potential for success should never be lost due to financial circumstances.

COP and The Primavera Fund will explore and present a specific piece of music, through one-day musical intensives during the 2018/2019 Migrations season that will include:

  • Mentoring and coaching middle and high school Primavera students by COP musicians
  • In-depth exploration of a featured musical work through an interactive composition workshop led by COP/ACF Philadelphia’s Steven R. Gerber Composer-in-Residence
  • Lunch with COP musicians and Composer-in-Residence
  • Culminating side-by-side rehearsal and performance of the featured work with Primavera and COP musicians in a free, donate-as-you-wish, community concert in Philadelphia

The Primavera Fund and COP strongly believe in the talent that lives within our city, and that investing in our city’s youth is an investment in the future of Philadelphia. Donate now and join us in cultivating a program in which every young musician is given the opportunity to succeed. With your generous donation, we can promote diversity in classical music and inspire the youth of Philadelphia.
