Program notes provide additional insight into the works and artists performing on each concert. You can read them in advance, when you arrive at your performance, or after your concert to learn more about your program.
Notes for programs in the 2016–17 season will be posted on event pages no later than one week before scheduled events.
Michael Moore is the program annotator of The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia:
Michael Moore has served as the Chamber Orchestra’s program notes writer since 2015 and Mendelssohn Club’s program editor since 1988. His program notes have been reprinted by such organizations as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Memphis Symphony, the Berkshire Music Festival, Britain’s Windsor Festival, Temple University, the University of Delaware, Emory University and Haverford College, and by choruses across the country. He has also written liner notes for the 2008 recording of Charles Fussell’s WildeSymphony, released by the Boston Modern Orchestra Project. A member of the bass section, Michael has sung with Mendelssohn Club since 1985.
