Miles B. Davis, principal bassist of The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, first joined the orchestra in 1976, shortly after he graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music. He has been a continuous member ever since.
In addition to the Chamber Orchestra, Mr. Davis is principal bass of the Santa Fe Opera, Opera Philadelphia, and Philly Pops. He is founder and former director of 1807 and Friends chamber music series. A native of Dayton Ohio, he now lives in Center City with his wife Susan, an architect and public art consultant, and their cat Aloysha, a regal Russian Blue.
