Frances Tate is an active performer and teacher in the Philadelphia area. She is currently Second Flute with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and Piccolo of the Philly Pops and the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with the Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra, and Baltimore, Delaware, Charlotte, Harrisburg, Reading, Knoxville and Annapolis Symphony Orchestras. Frances was second place winner in the 2002 National Flute Association’s Piccolo Artist Competition, and first place winner in the 2000 Mid‐Atlantic Flute Fair’s Piccolo Artist Competition. Frances holds a Master’s Degree from the Peabody Institute, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan.
