Brillhart: All Baroque

February 25, 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

[column size=”col-6″]

The year is 1747, upon invitation by King Frederick II of Prussia at Potsdam, J.S. Bach is challenged to create a fugue based on a theme the King had made up on the spot. Bach’s improvisational whimsy is still a coveted skill for the stage today. Indulge in the brilliance of Jeffrey Brillhart; world renowned improvisational keyboardist and winner of 1st prize American Guild of Organists’ National Competition in Organ Improvisation in 1994. Join Brillhart as he pairs baroque’s greatest composers in an evening of improvisations as Bach would have intended. Brillhart will even improvise on themes heard in the concert, just like in 1747.
