November 6 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Piano virtuosity shines as the Chamber Orchestra showcases the up and coming piano star Charlie Albright. Hailed for his “jaw-dropping technique and virtuosity meshed with a distinctive musicality” by The New York Times, Charlie will regale us with Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 as well as improvisations on the Für Elise. Curtis trained conductor, Sarah Ioannides makes her Chamber Orchestra debut as one of the most prominent female conductors of our day.
The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia continues our wildly popular post-concert program on Sundays. Please join Sarah Ioannides, Charlie Albright, and Executive Director Bill Rhoads for informal and informative Q&A session following the matinée.
